About Us
Founded by Yusuf Patel in 2017, Shera Farming has been the fulfilment of a life-long dream. Yusuf, an engineering technician by profession has also worked in human development and the poverty alleviation sector. Having grown up on a family lifestyle farm, he always envisioned establishing a sustainable farm project geared towards responsible and ethical management that would help contribute positively to the broader socio-economic needs of local communities.Shera Farming is therefore founded upon and purposefully developed to ensure an overall responsible and beneficial approach to food production.
Shera Farming Director Waleed Davids, a professional accountant and long- term colleague of our founder, was brought on board for his values, commitment to socio-economic justice and his financial expertise. Shera farming affirms a shared value approach which guides the behaviour and actions of all who form part of our business structures , the founders and management team share a mutually strong commitment and passion towards Shera farming’s overall ethos.
