We are committed to a more mindful and ethically sustainable approach to food production, we do this by minimising the use of drugs, chemicals, and hormones in our food production, thus reducing our impact on the environment, and focusing on the welfare of the animals we keep. Shera Farming strives to rear healthy and wholesome sheep by upholding purity, health, wellness, hygiene, and compassion as our highest standards.
Our high-quality infrastructure, feedlot facilities, and easy access to natural grazing mean that our sheep are always grass and grain fed with no harmful artificial additives. Wholesomely reared sheep are better for our customers and our community.
Based in St Helena Bay, Shera Farming specialises in the breeding, rearing, and selling of wholesome Merino lamb, mutton, and related products to retailers, wholesalers, hotels, and restaurants as well as directly to the consumer. All Shera products are ‘’Halal” and follow the Islamic faith principles of “Tayyib”, Systems and actions that define and encompass permissible ,ethical , pure and wholesome food production and consumption along the entire supply chain from farm to plate .
OUR PURPOSE
Due to the increase in population globally and locally, there is a rising demand for food production, however the ‘business-as-usual’ attitude in food production is compromising to our well-being and also negatively impacts upon the environment.
